Donna Louise Denny

Donna Louise Denny, 62, of Lincoln, MO, passed away on Wednesday, July 12, 2023, at Lincoln Community Care Center in Lincoln. She was born on November 23, 1960, in St. Joseph, MO, the daughter of Dennis L Denny, who resides in Lincoln, MO, and Velma L (Illiff) Denny, who preceded her in death.

Donna worked off and on throughout her life as a CNA or cook in several areas. Donna enjoyed spending as much time as possible with family and friends. Children were her joy and made her face light up, especially her grandchildren. Donna lived life "pedal to the metal" and loved hard too. She would have two pennies and offer someone in need a place to stay or a spot at the table. She will be missed by all who loved her, but we can all rejoice she is now with her mother, brothers, and best friend; so many loved ones are celebrating in Heaven today with the Lord. Let us celebrate her life and hold her in our hearts.

In addition to her father, Donna is survived by five children, Karen M Wiley, of Boonville, MO; Ronda L Simmons, of Sedalia; Jonathan D Simmons, of Toronto, Ontario; Ron D Simmons, of Jackson, MO; and Joe D Simmons, of Jackson, MO; two brothers, Jerald (Doug) Douglas Denny of Green Ridge, MO, and Wallace (Wally) Leroy Denny, of Lincoln, MO; sixteen grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

In addition to her mother, Donna was preceded in death by three brothers, Floyd Eugene Denny, Carl Wesley Denny, and Ernest Mitchell Denny, and her best friend, Valarie Timmons.

A celebration of life service will be held at 6:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 18, 2023, at Rea Funeral Chapel, with Chaplin Maureen McNeil officiating.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral chapel.

Burial will be in Payne Cemetery in Dunksburg, MO, at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family to help purchase a monument at the cemetery.
