Obituary for Donald Leroy Sprinkle

Donald Leroy Sprinkle, 86, of Sedalia passed away Sunday, July 5, 2020 at Bothwell Regional Health Center in Sedalia. He was born on October 20, 1933 in Syracuse, MO the son of John Franklin and Launa Frances (Cole) Sprinkle, who preceded him in death.

He was united in marriage to Ella Mae Lange, who survives of the home.

Don graduated from Otterville High School, Otterville, MO. He served his country honorably in the US Army from September 1958 to 1960. Don was employed at Pittsburgh Corning for 44 years before retiring. He was a member of Moose Lodge 1494 since 1971. Don enjoyed dancing, gardening, and working with his hands. He was a family man, loving, kind, and funny. He especially loved spending time with his family and playing with his grandchildren.

Besides his wife Ella he is survived by Paula Cook of Columbia, Kenneth Sprinkle (Brenda) of Sedalia and Donna Sprinkle of Sedalia; six grandchildren, Michelle Reid (Ryan), Katy McNelly, Angie Waldrep (Mike), Larry Sprinkle (Stephanie), Sarah Stubblefield (David) and Christopher Klein; three sisters, Johnnie Schilb, Pat Wittman, and Wanda Lewis.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Paul Sprinkle; a granddaughter, Pam Sprinkle, two sisters, Dorothy Romig and Betty Rehmer; and one brother, Thomas Sprinkle.

Memorial service will be held on Wednesday, July 8, 2020 at 11:00 am pm at Rea Funeral Chapel with Doyle Sager, officiating.

Family will receive friends one hour prior to service.

Burial will be at Missouri Veterans Cemetery, Higginsville, MO at a later date.
Full military honors will be rendered at that time.

Arrangements are under the direction of Rea Funeral Chapel.

Uncle Don was a good man and a great uncle.I remember when they lived in ottervill he would come pick me up when he got off work and take me to his house for a few days to see my aunt mae and cousins.then he would take me back to sedalia a few days in peace
