Obituary For Donald Kentch

Donald Lynn Kentch, 80, of Sedalia passed away Friday, April 24, 2015 at his home. He was born on July 9, 1934 in Willow Springs, MO the son of Ernest and Blanch (Murrell) Kentch, who both preceded him in death. On November 16, 1951 in Raton, NM, he was united in marriage to Rosetta England, who preceded him in death in May of 2004. On August 26, 2004 in Sedalia, he was united in marriage to Diane E. Robinson (Pottorff), who survives of the home. Lynn's working career started in Canada, where he worked on the oil rigs. His first hand in flight was with two private small aircraft companies in Casper, WY and Dillon, MT. He then enjoyed crop farming for 3 years before he worked for corporate airlines. He was an aircraft mechanic for Central Airlines, Frontier Airlines and Alaska Airlines, retiring in 1992. Lynn loved being a pilot and flying. He enjoyed going to the lake, fishing and loved spending time with his friends and family, playing cards. Lynn was a member of Abundant Harvest Worship Center, Sedalia. Besides his wife, he is survived by three children, Don Kentch (Jeannette) of Willis, TX, Vicki Kentch of Denver CO, and Dean Kentch of Sedalia; a stepson Chris Pottorff, of Sedalia; eight grandchildren, Christian, Jennifer, Nicole, Hanna, Heather, Benjamin, Seth and Caleb; six great grandchildren, Emma, Grady, Isaiah, Elijah, Jadon and Tristan. Besides his parents and first wife, he was preceded in death by a daughter at infancy; and one brother, Wayne Kentch. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, April 29, 2015 at Rea Funeral Chapel, Sedalia. Pastors Merry and Tony Kroeger will officiate service assisted by Rev. J.D. Reed. Family will receive friends one hour prior to service. Burial will be at Green Ridge Cemetery, Green Ridge, MO. Pallbearers will be Don Kentch, Chris Pottorff, Caleb Morrison, Carl Simpson, Colter Stevens, Greg Atwater, Lakin Kehde and Norman Zinc. Honorary bearers will be Dean and Christian Kentch and Bradley O'Connor. Memorial contributions are suggested to the family in care of the funeral chapel.
