Dixie Diane Hale, 68, of Green Ridge, MO, passed away Sunday, March 6, 2022, at Bothwell Regional Health Center in Sedalia. She was surrounded by her twin daughters and husband of 40 years. On February 15, 1954, she was born in Kansas City, MO, the daughter of James Roy Clary and Forestina May (Rogers) Clary, who preceded her in death.
On March 20, 1982, in Kansas City, MO, she was united in marriage to Raymond Lester Hale, who resides in the home.
Dixie was raised in South Kansas City, where she graduated from Center High School in 1972. After high school, she attended dental college, which she graduated from, and became a dental hygienist from 1972 to 1974. Dixie became a receptionist at King Louie Corporation from 1974 to 1978. She then worked for BMA Insurance from 1979 to 2000. After that, she worked at I am Cares from 2000 to 2003. After that, she worked as a Pension Specialist at Operating Engineers Local 101 Fringe Benefits from 2003 to 2010. Dixie and her husband then moved to Sedalia, where she worked as a receptionist at MCH in Sweet Springs from 2011 to 2016.
Dixie officially retired in 2016, and she enjoyed going to various places in Sedalia with Ray. Dixie and Ray also enjoyed going on many vacations and spending time with friends and family.
Along with her husband, Ray, she is survived by twin daughters, Jennifer Hickson (Chris) of Oak Grove, MO, and Jessica Hale of Marshall, MO; mother-in-law, Phyllis Hale of Lee's Summit; five grandchildren, Rayleigh, Jade, Camryn, Makaia, and Trenton; two nieces, Lisa Gray (Robert "Billy") and Brooke Barnett; a nephew, Jamie Barnett; and many great-nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded by a sister, Christina Barnett.
Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, March 10, 2022, at Discover Church, Sedalia, with Pastor Ed Spencer officiating.
The family will receive friends one hour before the service at the church.
Burial will be at Missouri Veterans Cemetery, Higginsville, MO.
Pallbearers will be Chris Hickson, Paul Allen, James Gray, Mark Gray, Billy Gray, and Mark Beauchamp.
Family and friends may make memorial contributions to Discover Church, Sedalia, in the care of Rea Funeral Chapel.
