Obituary For Dena Sue Roberts

Dena Sue Roberts, 62, of Sedalia, MO, passed away Tuesday, October 12, 2021. She was born on March 25, 1959 in Pettis County, MO, the daughter of Roy and Allene (Armstrong) Wheatley, who preceded her in death.

On May 30, 1985 in Sedalia, she was united in marriage to Tim Roberts, who survives in the home.

Dena worked at WireCo as a wire clerk and inventory specialist for 23 years. She loved camping, the outdoors, fishing, playing cards and spending time with her husband Tim, her sons, grandkids and many friends. She always knew when bad weather was coming and would check on her kids and friends to make sure they were okay.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by three sons, Gary Billingsley (Mandy) of San Antonio, TX, Jason Billingsley (Jodi) of Knob Noster, MO, and Derrick Roberts (Jen) of Sedalia, MO; nine grandchildren, Samuel, Nathan, Lauren, Nora, Hayden, Olivia, Laila, Gavin and Cole; and one brother Joe Wheatley of Waynesboro, TN.

In addition to her parents Dena was preceded in death by one sister, Carol Wheatley-Ede.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am, Monday, October 18, 2021 at Rea Funeral Chapel, Sedalia, with Pastor Rusty Thomas officiating.

Visitation will be held one hour prior to service.

Burial will be at Florence Union Cemetery in Florence, MO at a later date.

Honorary bearers will be Hayden Billingsley, Sam Billingsley, Nathan Billingsley, Randy Roberts, Brad Roberts, Matt Davis, Stacy Davis, Brandon Ede, Michael Anderson and Kyle Ede.

Growing up as cousins Dena, Carol, & Joe we're our first friends; we have great memories of playing together as kids and spending holidays and lots of other fun family times together.
