Debra Sue Bunn

Debra "Deb" Sue Bunn, 62, of Sedalia, MO passed away Wednesday, September 30, 2020 at her home. She was born on February 22, 1958 in Marengo, IA the daughter of Lloyd Keith Mumby and Charleen Mary (Smith) Mumby, who preceded her in death.

On November 20, 1992 in Sedalia, she was united in marriage to Dennis J. Bunn Sr., who resides in the home.

Deb graduated from Hartwick Ladora Victor (HLV) High School in 1976 in Victor, IA. She worked as a waitress and cook at several restaurants and had a home daycare in Iowa before starting to work at Walmart in Grinnell, IA in 1985. She transferred to Sedalia, MO Walmart in 1990. Deb enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She especially enjoyed having her grandchildren around her. Deb and Denny spent many days fishing and racing. Deb enjoyed playing cards and board games and going to garage sales. But her most enjoyable hobby was collecting "I Love Lucy" memorabilia.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by a son, Brian Mumby of Sedalia; three step children, Jamie Stephenson, Carol Michalek (Chuck), and DJ Bunn all of Iowa; two grandchildren, Kira and Logan Mumby; and 11 step-grandchildren; three sisters, Betty Harp (Tom) of Ladora, IA, Mary Daharsh (Gary) of Lincoln, NE, and Patti Selk (Doug) of Grinnell, IA; two sisters-in-law, Joyce Curley (Danny) of Laclede, MO, and Brenda Fisch (Dave) of Montezuma, IA.; and many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and a lot of other family and friends.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Melinda Bennington; a grandson, Damon Bennington; a step-father, Gerald Foster; a sister-in-law, Esther Bunn Earley Dreesman; and her mother-in-law, Doris Bunn and father-in-law, James Bunn.

Funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, October 7, 2020 at Parkview Christian Church with Rev. Rodney Brown officiating.

The family will receive friends Tuesday, October 6, 2020 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Rea Funeral Chapel, Sedalia.

Burial will be at Memorial Park Cemetery, Sedalia, MO.

Pallbearers will be Dave Withers, Paul Paugh, Rob Simmons, Jason Riga, Adam McMullin, Steve Bierman, Gavin Neth, and Lennie Lamb.

Honorary bearers will be Diane Withers, Debbie Paugh, Michelle Simmons, Shannon Ogden, Elizabeth McMullin, Debbie Bierman, Amanda Duchone, and Jackie Lamb .

Memorial contributions may be made to Child Safe of Central Missouri, Inc. or Crossroads Hospice in care of Rea Funeral Chapel.
