Obituary For Debra Lynn Edwards

Debra Lynn Edwards, 70, of Otterville, MO, passed away Thursday, February 23, 2023, at her daughter's home in Otterville. She was born on November 28, 1952, in Sedalia, the daughter of Charles T. Corson and Anna Belle (Estes) Corson, who preceded her in death.

On May 22, 1971, in Otterville, MO, she was united in marriage to Terry Allen Edwards, who preceded her in death on August 22, 2019.

Debbie was a 1970 graduate of Otterville High School. After graduation, she had an in-home daycare business while raising her two daughters. Later, she worked for Stride Rite Shoe Factory in Tipton, MO, for nine years until the factory's closure. She then attended State Fair Community College and received an associate's Degree in Agriculture. After graduation, Debbie worked an internship with the Department of Conservation and later worked for OATS Transportation as a driver until her retirement.

Debbie enjoyed putting together large puzzles and spending time with her friends "The Otterville Hotties."

Her primary focus in life was her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Survivors include two daughters, Lynn Payne (Chris) of Sedalia and Leann Langton (Sean) of Otterville; seven grandchildren, Chelci Evans (Cory), Sheena Elliott (Dustin), Wyatt Payne (Lisa), Logan Stone (Britney), Austin Payne, Sean D. Langton (Brooke) and Bronwen Langton; nine great-grandchildren.

In addition to her husband and parents, Debbie was preceded in death by two sisters, Georgie Griffith and Daisy Mettenburg, and a brother, Charles (Bud) Corson.

A memorial service will be held at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, February 28, 2023, at Rea Funeral Chapel, with Pastor David Owens officiating.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the chapel.

Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice Compassus in the care of Rea Funeral Chapel.
