Debra Jean Cook, 66, of Sedalia, MO passed away Friday, February 2, 2018 at Four Seasons Living Center in Sedalia. She was born on April 8, 1951 in Sedalia the daughter of George A. and Bertha Montgomery Cook, who preceded her in death.
She enjoyed listening to music, bowling and especially traveling to Hawaii. She taught elementary school in Lincoln, MO. Debra was also the choir director for Lake Creek United Methodist Church and was a faithful member.
Survivors include one sibling, Berton Cook (Betty) of Smithton, nieces and nephews, Cheryl Hofstetter (David) of Florence, MO, Kelly Cook (Mary) of Mankato, MN, Shelli Martin (Matt) of Columbia, MO, Kami Stark (Doug) of Princeton, MO, and Greg Cook of Boonville, MO.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by two siblings, Hubert Cook and Theresa Ripley, and sister-in-law Lu Gibson Cook.
Memorial services will be held at 7:00 pm, Tuesday, February 13, 2018 at Rea Funeral Chapel, Sedalia, MO with Rev. Jason Veal, officiating.
Visitation will be one hour prior to service time at Rea Funeral Chapel.
Memorial contributions may be made to Lake Creek United Methodist Church or Smithton United Methodist Church.
Arrangements are under the direction of Rea Funeral Chapel.
