Obituary For David Eugene Jordan

David Eugene Jordan, 67, of Sedalia, MO passed away on Wednesday, December 15, 2021, surrounded by his family. He was born on August 2, 1954, in Sedalia, the son of Noah Andrew Jordan and Marie (Harvey) Jordan, who preceded him in death.

On June 19, 1976, in Calhoun MO, he was united in marriage to Anita Williams, who resides in the home.

David graduated from Smith Cotton High School in 1972 and then went on to attend State Fair Community College, where he earned his Associates of Science degree in accounting in 1974. David worked at Alcan Cable for over 20 years before retiring in 2009.

David was a jokester and always loved a good laugh. In his younger years, he enjoyed playing baseball, horseshoes, and riding his motorcycle. He also enjoyed farming and frequent trout fishing trips to Bennett Spring state park.

After retirement, David continued to stay busy as a small business owner of a pilot car company he started with his brother. In 2017, with the birth of his granddaughter, he fully retired to spend more time with his family. He enjoyed grilling on his Traeger and spending time with his friends, family, and yellow lab, Yauti.

David was an incredible man, husband, father, grandfather, and friend and will be tremendously missed.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by two children, Brent Jordan of Sedalia, and Lora Pfeifer (Matt) of Olathe, KS; a granddaughter, Valarie; a brother, Luther Jordan of Warsaw; a sister, Evelyn Yonce of Sedalia; nephews; nieces; great nieces and great nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother-in-law, an uncle, an aunt and a nephew.

Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 22, 2021, at Rea Funeral Chapel with Rev. Richard DeFord, officiating. The family does request masks and social distancing at the service.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.

Burial will be at Crown Hill Cemetery.

Memorial contributions are suggested to the family and will be given to a close family friends veteran’s widow, in the care of Rea Funeral Chapel.

Arrangements are under the direction of Rea Funeral Chapel.
