Obituary For David Busick

David "Dave" Glenn Busick, 64, of Sedalia, MO, passed away Monday, October 12, 2020 at his home. He was born on July 28, 1956 in Sedalia, the son of Lawrence Busick and Shirley Poynter, who preceded him in death.

Dave worked as the Bar Manager at the VFW Post 2591 where he was a member of the VFW Auxiliary. Dave enjoyed going fishing, mushroom hunting, bowling, and playing softball. He loved spending time with family and friends, especially his grandchildren.

Dave is survived by two daughters, Gena Hogan (Brian) of Liberty, MO and April Heiman (Nick) of Lone Jack, MO; two granddaughters, Avery and Skylar Hogan; one grandson, Brantley Heiman; three sisters, Connie Boyer, Nancy Wren (Wes), and Vicki Cain (Dave); two step-sisters, Caron Schrader, and Charla Grandfield; three step-brothers, Darryl Grandfield, Doug Grandfield, and Clay Poynter (Heather); and many nieces, nephews, aunts, and uncles.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his step-parents, Clay Poynter and Dorothy Busick; and his brother, Mike Busick.

Funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, October 20, 2020 at Rea Funeral Chapel, Sedalia, MO with Rev. Jason Kindle, officiating.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday, October 19, 2020 at the Chapel.

Burial will be at Crown Hill Cemetery, Sedalia, MO.

Pallbearers will be Kerry Pyle, Andy Kindle, Mike Pyle, Brett Sorrell, Kelly Borts, and Joe Cochran.

Honorary bearers will be Wes Wren, Dave Cain, Kirby Pyle, Mark White, Rick Burlingame, and members of VFW Post 2591.

Memorial contributions may be made to VFW Post 2591 in care of Rea Funeral Chapel.

    I'm so sorry for your lost. I've had the pleasure of having Dave as a good friend through the years. We shared stories over having a few. Played some ball and just swapped stories He and Tim were great people and now they're united agin. RIP my friend. You'll be truly missed. Until we meet again.......

    Too many memories. I shall cherish them all. Between softball games, horseshoe, fish fries and just talking over a friendly card game at the Chez. Loves dear friend.
