Obituary For Darrel Reno

Darrel Clark Reno, 62, of Sedalia, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Wednesday November 9, 2016. He was born on December 20, 1953 in Independence, Missouri the son of Devasco C. and Dorothy Opal (Roach) Reno, who preceded him in death.

On December 10, 1973 in Sedalia, he was united in marriage to Loretta Jean Wallace, who resides of the home.

Darrel was a member of the Warsaw Church of the Nazarene. Darrel served his country honorably in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. His passions were playing the guitar, hunting, fishing and especially spending time with his family. He was owner/operator of Reno Trucking in Sedalia.

Besides his wife Loretta, he is also survived by a daughter, Jennifer (Reno) Simmons and her husband Jerry of Otterville; two sons, Jason Reno and Shane Meyer both from the state of California; two sisters, Bonnie Chaplin and Betty Lawson; two grandsons, Michael and Jacob Reno; three step grandchildren, Madisyn, Jordyn and Kannon Simmons.

Besides his parents, he is also preceded in death by two sisters, Shirley and Peggy Reno Thomas; four brothers, Garry Taylor, Kenneth Reno, Herman Reno and Clayton Reno.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday November 14, 2016 at Rea Funeral Chapel with Pastor James Wallace officiating.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the chapel.

Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery, Sedalia. Full military honors will be conducted by VFW Post #2591.

Pallbearers will be Johnnie Kreisel, Jerry M. Simmons, Jerry W. Simmons and Joe Karaty.

Memorial contributions may be made to the family in care of Rea Funeral Chapel.
