Darlene Amy Purl

Darlene Amy Purl, 84, of Sedalia, MO passed away on Sunday, March 2, 2025 at Loving Arms Care Center, Sedalia. She was born on October 28, 1940, in Osceola, MO, the daughter of Ira and Nina (Parkinson) Corum, who preceded her in death.

On April 18, 1981, in San Bernardino, CA she was united in marriage to Lloyd Purl, who preceded her in death on April 17, 2014.

She enjoyed doing jigsaw puzzles, crosswords, coloring, and watching soap operas. She was an exceptional baker and loved spoiling her grandkids..

Darlene is survived by a daughter, Kim Casdorph; a sister, Ella Oldham; seven grandchildren, eighteen great-grandchildren; and three great-great grandchildren.

Besides her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Rhonda Hall; four brothers, Walter Parkinson, Robert Powell, Ed Powell, and Billy Corum; two sisters, Delores Parkinson and Wanda Bledsoe; and two great-grandchildren, Caleb Casdorph and Cody Smith.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, March 6, 2025, at Rea Funeral Chapel, Sedalia, MO, with Rev. Dan Hankins, officiating.

Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the chapel.

Burial will be at Crown Hill Cemetery, Sedalia, MO.

Pallbearers will be Zander Jones, Spencer Jones, Gavin Casdorph, Kole Bartlett, Jeremiah Casdorph, and Ricky Hyde.

Honorary bearers will be Blake Walker and Chandler Bartlett.

Memorial contributions may be made to the family in the care of Rea Funeral Chapel.
