Danny Ray Coke, 64, of Sedalia, MO passed away Wednesday, January 1, 2020 at his home. He was born on February 28, 1955 in Kansas City, MO the son of Joe Gaylord and Myrtle May (Gregory) Coke, who preceded him in death.
On August 22, 2007 in Sedalia, MO he was united in marriage to Charlene Golden, who survives of the home.
Danny worked as a general contractor for many years. He enjoyed going to garage sales finding bargains. He loved spending time with his family and friends. He was very proud of his military service. He served honorable in the U.S. Army.
Besides his wife, survivors include one brother, Jessie Beaman of Springdale, AR; two sisters, Floretta Smith of Sedalia and Wanda Stoneburner of Brookfield, MO; and seven step-children, Benjamin Hemmert of Sedalia, Amanda Wright of Lawrence, KS, James Wright, Jr of Sedalia, Matthew Wright of Otterville, Amy Wright of Sedalia, Audrey Wright of Kansas City, and Kelly Staddie of Mexico, MO; and fourteen step-grandchildren.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Joe Gaylord Coke, Jr, David Coke, and Lonny Coke; two sisters, Mary Miller and Linda Coke at infancy.
A celebration of life will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 8, 2020 at the American Legion Hall in Sedalia, Missouri. There will be a potluck dinner and everyone is invited to bring a dish.
Arrangements are under the direction of Rea Funeral Chapel.
