Danny "D.D." Esser, 83, of Sedalia, MO passed away Wednesday, January 6, 2021 at his home. He was born on March 9, 1937 in Sedalia, MO the son of Elmer Alvin Esser and Hazel (Williams), who preceded him in death.
On March 8, 1958 in Kansas City, MO, he was united in marriage to Judy (Burlingame) Esser, who survives of the home.
Danny enjoyed restoring antique vehicles and going out dancing with his wife at The Alamo. He especially loved to spend time with his beloved family. He spent lot of time traveling in his retirement and went to every National Park that he could get to.
Danny is survived by two daughters, Cheri Stevenson (John), and Kim Esser (Curt), both of Sedalia; a son, Wade Esser (Herb), of Leawood, KS; two grandsons, Troy and Travis Harms of Sedalia; one great-grandson, James Harms of Sedalia; one brother, Jerry Esser (Stella) of Warsaw, MO; two sisters, Linda Van Densen (Mike), Mountain Home, AK, and Velma Bishop, of Springfield, MO.
Danny is preceded in death by four brothers, Butch, Larry, Alvin, and Buddy Esser.
Graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Thursday, January 14, 2021 at Highland Sacred Gardens in Sedalia, MO.
Memorial contributions are suggested to Crossroads Hospice in care of Rea Funeral Chapel.
