Obituary For Daniel Fisher

Daniel Herschel Fisher, 58, of Sedalia, Missouri passed away Monday, August 28, 2017 at his home in Sedalia, Missouri. He was born on June 2, 1959 in Sedalia, the son of Ray Warren Fisher, who preceded him in death, and Mary Caroline (McNulty) Fisher Quinlan who survives of the home.

Daniel loved his family, he especially enjoyed talking with his grandkids and broadening their minds with his own knowledge. He is a role model for patience at the highest level. Quickest to forgive and move on, he never lingered in the past. His kids were his biggest achievement. He took pride in his children calling him everyday. No amount of material possession could be measured in comparison to the success he felt as a father and grandfather, in his own eyes. This taught the true meaning of life to all who were listening.

He enjoyed car races, working on anything in his garage, and listening to Classic Rock. He enjoyed watching the weather, shooting pool, and completing all kinds of puzzles. He was capable of finding the solution to any problem. His solution to his diagnosis was to live life to the fullest until the end. He always said he did not want tears at his funeral, he wanted a celebration and laughter. His children told him they would cry but they would also laugh. He always had humor to lighten the mood, which was one of his best aspects, wrapped in patience and happiness. He will be dearly missed. Unless we all get better aim.

Besides his mother, Mary Caroline, he is also survived by a step-father Wilbur Quinlan; a sister Beci Hammond (Mark) of Sedalia; a brother Steven Stonecipher-Fisher (Kim) of Columbia, MO; his son Matthew Fisher (Jessica) of Sedalia; two daughters, Gabrielle Miner (Mason) and Holly Jett both of Sedalia; seven grandchildren, Chloe Fisher, Cayden Jett, Gabriel Miner, Bella Miner, Braylon Miner, Henry Miner and Soren Miner; and two nephews, Joseph and Geoffrey Hammond.

Besides his father, Ray Warren, he was preceded in death by his sister Carol Rae Fisher.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 2, 2017 at Rea Funeral Chapel, Sedalia, MO, with Rev. Glenn Sparks officiating.
