Obituary For Daniel Borchers

Daniel Joseph Borchers, 62, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, November 21, 2017 in his home in Sedalia, MO. Dan was born on November 26, 1954 to Elroy George Borchers and Margaret Jean Askren Borchers in Sedalia, MO. On February 8, 1986, in Sedalia, MO, he was united in marriage to Margaret Wilson at Sacred Heart Church who survives of the home. Dan graduated from Sacred Heart High School in 1973 and earned his Associates Degree in Science from State Fair Community College in 1975. He retired from Gardner-Denver in Sedalia in February 2017 after 37 years. Dan had a love for St. Louis Cardinals baseball, Missouri Tigers football and basketball, and NASCAR. In addition to his wife Margaret, survivors include son Jay Wilson (Alicia); granddaughters, Hayden and Jordyn Wilson of North Kansas City; sister Mary Borchers Watkins of Sedalia; brother John Borchers (Juliette) of Nevis, West Indies; and his step mom Alice Borchers of Cole Camp. He is also survived by five nephews, a niece, and several great nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother-in-law Martin Watkins. Funeral services will be held at 11:00a.m. Monday, November 27, 2017 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Father Mark Miller, C.P.P.S. officiating. Visitation will be from 9:30-10:45am at Sacred Hearth Catholic Church prior to the services. Burial will be immediately following services at Crown Hill/Calvary Cemetery. Honorary pallbearers will be Bill Freund, Wayne Simon, Rick Mergen, Ken Kuttenkuhler, Jeromy Clemons, Paul Chancellor, Dennis Steele and Mark Register. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Canon Cancer Center at BRHC or Sacred Heart Athletic Department in care of Rea Funeral Chapel, Sedalia.
