Crystal Lee Bentley, 48, of Sedalia, MO, passed away on December 20, 2022, at her home in Sedalia. She was born on July 16, 1974, in Warrensburg, MO, the daughter of John Spencer Callaway and Patricia Kay Callaway.
On April 6, 1996, in Warrensburg, she was united in marriage to Ricky Lynn Bentley, who survives of the home.
Crystal spent most of her life selflessly loving, caring, and nurturing countless families and children, all while homeschooling her own kids. She had a passion for always giving what she could for others, even if it meant just a smile to try and brighten the day. Crystal had a strong want to keep safety as a first goal when it came to children, always striving to do better and teaching them to do better when the opportunity came about. Along with the love she gave others, Crystal loved observing the Almighty’s creation above all else; her favorites to watch were dragonflies, birds, and her plants growing. Crystal shared in these joys as they brought her a sense of comfort in the world. Her biggest accomplishments in life were her family, her home, and the memories she made. She was always proud of what she would leave behind to carry her story on for generations to come.
Besides her husband and mother, Crystal is survived by her daughters, Cassandra K. Wassam, Trisha L. Bentley, and Asenath R. Bentley; her sons, Zepphrey P. Bentley, and Joshua R.L. Bentley, as well as her grandchildren, Madeline, Phoebe, Spencer, and Makayla.
Crystal is preceded in death by her father.
Services will be announced at a later date.
Memorial contributions may be made to Crystal’s family in the care of Rea Funeral Chapel.
