Constance Louise Stubinger Albin of Sedalia, MO, passed away on August 24, 2024, at E.W. Thompson Health and Rehabilitation Center in Sedalia. She was born in Falls City, NE, on December 4, 1938, to Jacob and Magdalene Bierbaum Stubinger.
She was united in marriage to Paul Dean Albin on November 13, 1954, at Faith Lutheran Church in Jefferson City, to whom three sons were born: Paul Arthur, Micheal, and Scott. For several years they resided in California, MO, before moving to Sedalia in 1958, where they made their home.
Connie was a stay-at-home mom raising the three boys. She was involved in helping with various school activities for her boys. She also became involved as a crusader with the American Cancer Society, going door to door soliciting donations. She continued her work with the American Cancer Society and became Pettis County Chairman. In 1978, with the help of many other volunteers, more money was donated by the citizens of Pettis Co. than had ever been raised prior to this time. She spent a total of 20 years volunteering for the American Cancer Society. It was during this time that she was even nominated for Outstanding Young Woman of the Year, although she did not win she was very proud to have been nominated.
She and Paul loved to dance. They would dance to Big Band and Country Music. Together they danced at the Missouri State Fair, and for several years won the Waltz and Jitterbug competitions. They won the Polka after they had only practiced one time. They also danced on television on the Club Dance show and Wild Horse Saloon show, having a great time.
Together they were able to spend 17 warm winters in Texas where they had lots of fun times.
On her bucket list was parasailing and skydiving, which she was able to complete.
After her boys were grown and on their own, she worked at the family business, A&B Auto Trim until she and Paul retired in 2003.
Paul was the love of her life, when they would be out and about, they always would walk hand in hand.
Survivors include her husband, Paul Albin of 69 years of the home; sons, Paul of Sedalia, Micheal (Christa) of Sedalia, and Scott of Harrisonville; two grandsons, William and Steven; three step-granddaughters, Chasity, Bailey, and Allie; great-grandchildren, Anna, Andi, Riley, and Kyler along with ten additional great-grandchildren. She is also survived by two sisters; Marilyn Bogard and Carol Connor.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Jacob and Magdalen Stubinger; a sister, Ruth Sims; and two brothers, Robert and James Stubinger.
A celebration of life service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, October 12, 2024, at Rea Funeral Chapel.
The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until service time at the chapel.
Memorial Contributions may be made to Cancer Perks or Crossroads Hospice in the care of Rea Funeral Chapel.
