Obituary For Clay Wilson Wagenknecht
Clay Wagenknecht, 20, of Sedalia passed away Monday, May 24, 2021, at his home. He was born on July 23, 2000, in Sedalia, MO son of Mark Wagenknecht and Rebecca Ann (Wilson) Wagenknecht, who reside in the home.
Clay was a beautiful boy- funny, handsome, witty, and loving. He was a brother to two adoring sisters. He was excited about becoming an uncle. He loved his grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins. Swimming, fishing, shooting guns, playing video games, watching YouTube videos, and exploring the timber were his hobbies. His passion was playing guitar and making music. He was a gifted self-taught musician whose dream was to make music. He has a pet cat and fish that he loved. He enjoyed creating aquariums with lush habitats for his fish. Most importantly, Clay had a tender heart that was not always apparent. Clay had many plans and dreams, but life was a struggle for him. His family will miss him dearly; there is a hole in our hearts only Clay could fill. We love him and are proud to call him our son and brother.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by two sisters, Emma Wagenknecht (Eli Duvall) of Springfield, MO, and Dr. Molly Foster (Keaton) of Sedalia; Maternal grandparents, Libby and Jim Wilson of Sedalia; many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Shirley and Delbert Wagenknecht.
A graveside service and burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, June 1, 2021, at Dresden Cemetery, Dresden, MO, with Pastor Chris Guffey officiating.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Dresden Cemetery Fund in the care of Rea Funeral Chapel.
