Clara Camille Schubert

Clara "Camille" Schubert, 90, of Sedalia, MO, passed away on Thursday, January 9, 2025, at E.W. Thompson in Sedalia. She was born on July 12, 1934, in Fortuna, MO, the daughter of Herman Aeschbacher and Clara Heidbreder, who preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her first husband, Leo Sena.

On January 28, 1979, in Sedalia, MO Camille was united in marriage to Eldred Schubert, who preceded her in death on March 15, 2019.

Camille attended Otterville High School and graduated in 1952 . While in high school Camille played basketball, was in the band, and multiple other extracurricular activities. After graduating high school she moved to Kansas City and worked for Hallmark. Later she moved to California and met Leo. Upon losing her husband in 1965 she returned to Sedalia. Camille was a devoted mother who worked to support her family at Montgomery Wards and later retired from Walmart. Along with taking care of her granddaughters in her retirement she enjoyed: bird watching, gardening, playing Scrabble and Nintendo.

Camille was survived by her children, Julie Blaine Brooker (Fred), Mike Sena (Vicki); grandchildren, Angie Hayes (Mike), Amy Holloway (Stuart), Alyssa Gerke (Adam); great-grandchildren, Joshua and Ashley Hayes, Josephine and Dylan Holloway, Jackson and Addison Gerke; stepchildren, Olivia Mendoza and Erma Wright; sister, Norma Klein (Bob) and several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Besides her parents and husbands, Camille was preceded in death by a grandson, Jeffrey Sena; her siblings, Evelyn, Corrine, Marjorie, Gilbert, Barbara; and a son-in-law, James Blaine.

The family will hold a celebration of life at a later time.
