Obituary For Clara Ardelle Fisher

Clara Ardelle Fisher, 85, of Sedalia, MO, passed away on Sunday, April 16, 2023, at Sylvia Thompson Residence Center in Sedalia. She was born on July 16, 1937, in Hughesville, MO, the daughter of Jack Preston Phillips and Avory Pearl (Grimes) Phillips, who preceded her in death.

She was a 1955 graduate of Hughesville High School. Clara worked as an Office Administrator for Landman Abstract Company in Sedalia for many years. Clara enjoyed being outdoors, camping, and fishing. She loved sports and was an avid Kansas City Chiefs fan. Clara enjoyed going to the dirt track sprint car races to watch her family race. Clara was an animal lover and rescued many cats and dogs. She enjoyed listening to all genres of music and was an accomplished pianist. Clara had a very strong faith and was very active in playing the piano and singing in the choir at Hughesville Baptist Church and Bethlehem Baptist Church.

Survivors include three daughters, Kay Kramer (Denis) of Otterville, Elaine Sparks (Don) of Sedalia, Dianna Neihouse (Paul) of Lee's Summit; one son, Steve Sinclair (Jenein) of Sedalia; nine grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; five nieces and many friends.

In addition to her parents, Clara was preceded in death by two brothers, Joe Avory Phillips and Paul Phillips, and two sisters, Mary Miller, and Joy Utz.

A graveside memorial service and burial will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Monday, April 24, 2023, at High Point Cemetery Hughesville, MO, with Chaplin Jeff Stegner officiating.

The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. on Monday, April 24, 2023, at Rea Funeral Chapel, Sedalia.

Honorary bearers will be Vicki Powers, Michelle Muths, and Bill Utz.

In lieu of plants and flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Sedalia Animal Shelter in the care of Rea Funeral Chapel.
