Obituary For Cheryl Templeton

Cheryl Lynn Templeton age 67, with her children and beloved dog Opie by her side, joined her heavenly family on Wednesday, December 18th, 2013 at St. Luke’s Hospice House, Kansas City, MO.

Cheryl was the daughter of Esther and James “Windy” Hall of Hall Refrigeration, long time residents of Sedalia. They both preceded her in death and were certainly there to greet her along with many other loved ones who have previously passed.

Cheryl loved animals and children. She was known to take in strays and generally unadoptable dogs. Her precious and constant companion, a German Shepard named “Trouble” also previously passed to the eternal heavens.

Cheryl was a resident of Sedalia most of her life. She attended Smith-Cotton High School. She was married to Larry Clinton Templeton of LaMonte, MO in 1964 and have two surviving children, James Kelly Templeton of Phoenix, AZ and Stacey Renee Morse of Olathe, KS. She is also survived by two sisters, Wendolyn Hall of Highland, CA and Jamie German of Louisburg, KS. She has six surviving grandchildren, Andrew Tyler Morse, Adrianna Elizabeth Morse and Sydney Grace Morse all of Olathe, KS, Kellina Nicole Templeton and Alec Phillips both of Phoenix, AZ, and Lacey Goth of Clinton, MO.

Cheryl was known to be a loving yet spunky woman and continued to carry that trait all through her battle with pancreatic cancer. She amazed the medical community with her strong will and doing things on her own terms. She was a very loving and proud Mother. She appreciated the small things in life and enjoyed tending to her flowers, watching SyFy tv and taking walks with her dog. She will be greatly missed by all who loved her.

A visitation service will be held on Friday, December 20th at 2:00 at Rea Funeral Chapel in Sedalia, MO and graveside services at Green Ridge Cemetary, Green Ridge, MO immediately following at 3:30.

The family sincerely suggests financial contributions to help with her final expenses in lieu of flowers. Contributions may be sent to her account at Third National Bank, 400 W Broadway Blvd, Sedalia, MO 65301 or to Rea Funeral Chapel, 1001 S. Limit, Sedalia, MO 65301. Any remaining donations after expenses will be contributed to St. Luke’s Hospice House, the wonderful facility where she spent her final days.
