Charles Oliver "Chuck" Yeager, 75, of Otterville passed away Friday, March 9, 2018 at Harry S. Truman Memorial Veterans' Hospital in Columbia, MO. He was born on April 15, 1942 in Sedalia, the son of Frank Edward and Myna Pearl (Hull) Yeager, who preceded him in death.
On September 6, 1964 in Fulton, MO he was united in marriage to Arlane Marie Zbinden, who resides of the home.
Chuck owned and operated Yeager Quality Log Homes in Otterville for 45 years. He served his country honorably in the United States Army during the Vietnam War as a Combat Engineer. Chuck was known to everyone in his community as the "Go To Guy". Chuck loved to work and help people with anything he could. He was a plumber, electrician, mechanic, builder, and would do just about anything to help anyone in need.
In addition to his wife Arlane, he is survived by two children, Dorothy Yeager of Boonville, MO and Tommy Yeager (Debi) of Adrian, MO; two sisters, Barbara Eichholz of Jefferson City, MO and Myna Lawson of Topeka, KS.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother, John Yeager.
A private family memorial service will be held at a later date.
Burial will be at a later date at Highland Sacred Gardens, Sedalia.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Disabled Veterans Association of America in care of Rea Funeral Chapel.
Arrangements are under the direction of Rea Funeral Chapel.
