Charles H. Brandkamp

Charles H. Brandkamp, 82, of Sedalia, MO passed away Sunday, August 8, 2021, at Harry S. Truman Memorial Veterans' Hospital in Columbia, MO. He was born on December 22, 1938 in Sedalia. Charles served his country honorably in the United States Marines Corps. He began his service to his country at the age of 17 and served multiple tours in Vietnam retiring as a Master Sergeant after 20 years. Shortly after retiring from the military, he met the love of his life, Alberta Wiser, and the two of them shared the next 30 years of their lives together until her passing in 2005. Charlie enjoyed visiting the casinos, playing cards with his friends at the local American Legion and VFW and staying connected with remote friends and family over the phone. Services will be held on Friday, August 13, 2021, with a visitation from 10:00 to11:00 a.m. at Rea Funeral Chapel, Sedalia. Graveside service and burial will follow at 11:30 a.m. at Memorial Park Cemetery, Sedalia. Full military honors will be conducted by the United States Marine Corps Honors Team.
