Charles Bradley "Brad" Vansell, 47, of Sedalia, MO, passed away Monday, September 24, 2018 at his home. He was born on January 6, 1971 in Sedalia, the son of Jack and Katherine (Pugh) Vansell.
Brad was raised and educated in Sedalia and was a 1989 graduate of Smith-Cotton High School. Brad attended State Fair Community College and received an Automotive Certificate. He worked for 27 years at Sierra Bullets as a production tool setter. Brad was an avid hunter and fisherman. He enjoyed being on the water, in the woods, or riding his Harley-Davidson. Brad enjoyed putting out a huge garden every summer and canning salsa from the tomatoes. Brad loved spending time with his friends and family hosting his yearly fish fry. He loved supporting the Denver Broncos.
Survivors include his father, Jack Vansell of Sedalia; four children, Brittany Barnett (Max), Alisha Pichinevsky (David), Justin McGinnis (Marina), and Larry McGinnis (Miranda); sister, Dana (Bradley) Hanson of Sedalia; his only niece, Grace Gunn-Hanson of Sedalia; seven grandchildren, Penny, Olive, Savannah, Jacob, Bristin, Evelyn, and Alivia; and his dog, Athena who will sadly miss him.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Katherine Pugh Vansell.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Friday, September 28, 2018 at Rea Funeral Chapel. Visitation will be one hour prior to service time.
Burial will be at Crown Hill Cemetery, Sedalia, MO.
Pallbearers will be David Smith, Chris Franklin, Chris Smith, John Bryant, Jake Smith, Jeremy Klein, and Shawn Clark.
Honorary bearers will be Dawn Smith, Mark Dunfee, Scott Jenkins, Darby Sharp, Willie Tague, Bryan Brock, Barry Brock, and the entire Sierra Bullets Family. Brad loved his place of employment. It was a blending of both his love and passion.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to MO Kids Outdoors in care of Rea Funeral Chapel.
