Chad Anthony Ashford

Chad Anthony "Shotgun" Ashford, 54, of Warsaw, MO, passed away on Tuesday, May 21, 2024, at Research Medical Center in Kansas City, MO. He was born on January 3, 1970, in Chillicothe, MO, the son of Ivan Ashford and Barbara (Jones) Ashford, who preceded him in death.

Chad worked as a union lineman for KCP&L in Kansas City, MO, for ten years. He loved the outdoors and country living. Chad enjoyed hunting, fishing, boating, listening to old country music, and drinking beer.

Survivors include a son, Cody Ashford, of Independence, MO; a brother, Todd Ashford (Angela), of Independence, MO; a stepdaughter, Clancy Spade, of Sedalia; a stepson, Tylor Spade, of Bates City, MO; his maternal grandmother, Louise Jones; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A graveside service and burial will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 30, 2024, at Memorial Park Cemetery, with Pastor Aaron Roberts officiating.

Pallbearers will be Mike Evans, Cody Ashford, Todd Ashford, Tylor Spade, and Clancy Spade.

Memorial contributions may be made to the family in the care of Rea Funeral Chapel.
