Obituary For Carol Sue Girten
Carol Sue Girten, 81, of Sedalia, Missouri, passed away on Friday, January 17, 2020 at her home. She was born on June 28, 1938, in Sedalia, a daughter of Clarence and Stella (Forster) Jackson.
Carol lived her whole life in Sedalia, and married her one true love, building a family that she was most proud of. Her integrity was outstanding and could not be faltered. Carol loved people and everyone who knew her, loved her. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends. She enjoyed fishing, watching football (especially the Chiefs), and taking care of any and everyone she could. She would go the extra mile for anyone, and it meant the world to her to be able to do so.
Carol loved to stay busy, she would clean and clean and clean some more, even if it didn’t really need it. She always loved working in the yard and loved having it pristine at all times. Carol’s family was her world. She would go with out to make sure they were taken care of.
Survivors include a son, Christopher Girten; a daughter, Connie Girten-Hicks (Johnny); five grandchildren: Nicci Hayes, Adam Hayes, Nova Girten, Sabrina Fields, and Garret Fields; five great grandchildren; a brother, Larry Jackson (Betty); and numerous nephews, great nieces, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Girten; her parents, Clearance and Stella Jackson; and a brother, Robert E. Jackson.
A private viewing and family gathering was held on Monday, January 20, 2020 at Rea Funeral Chapel, Sedalia.
