Obituary For Carl Koch

Carl Ernst Koch, of Sedalia, joined his Heavenly Father on Thursday, October 24, 2013 after a short illness. Carl was born in Germany to Carl Ernst and Emilie Koch.

He was preceded in death by his parents and younger sister Irmgard Haden, and is survived by his sister Carola Morton of Montreal, Canada, three nieces, and one nephew.

Carl was joined in marriage to Mary Martin on February 23, 1973 in Aspen, Colorado. Mary survives and resides in Sedalia.

He worked for over twenty years as an engineer building bridges across the Midwest, and his excellent craftsmanship can still be seen.

Carl was a gracious, kind, and fun-loving spirit on this earth. He was an avid and excellent snow skier, and he very much loved the wonders of Nature. He was a member of the German Fraternity, Corps Rhenania. He also served as Commodore of the Lake of the Ozarks Yachting Association and was a member of the International Blue Gavel Past Commodores Club. He was a member of the First Christian Church.

Services will be held on his return to his beloved homeland. He will rest with his family in Linden, Germany.
