Caleb Leslie Dale Shephard, 27, of Cole Camp, passed away Friday, January 12, 2018 in Lincoln, MO. He was born on June 3, 1990 in Columbia, MO, the son of Christopher L. Shephard and Angela Wright of Sweet Springs, MO, and Barbara A. (Cramer) and Robbie Stremmel of Cole Camp.
Caleb served his country honorably in the United States Army from 2008 until 2011 serving in South Korea and Iraq. He loved to write music and play the guitar. Caleb's dream was to open his own automotive business and work on diesel engines. Caleb enjoyed being with his family and friends.
In addition to his parents he is survived by two sons, Isaac Francis Scott Shephard and William Oliver Charles Shephard of Higginsville, MO; four brothers, Steven Shephard of New Port, TN, Adam Shephard of Sedalia, Tyler Shephard of Sweet Springs, and Elijha Shephard of Marshall; a sister, Kristen Duby (Tommeh) of Marshall; maternal grandfather, Francis Cramer of Cole Camp; paternal grandmother, Twilla Lee of Sweet Springs; paternal step great grandmother, Virena Woolridge of Sedalia.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Alice Cramer; paternal step grandparents, Rona and Ronald Stremmel.
A celebration of life gathering of family and friends will be held from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Thursday, January 18, 2018 at Rea Funeral Chapel, Sedalia.
Military honors will be conducted at 8:00 p.m. Thursday, January 18, 2018 at the Chapel.
Memorial contributions may be made to the family in care of Rea Funeral Chapel.
