Brian Lee Caruth, of Sedalia, Missouri, began his flight on Wednesday, July 12, 2017, with his beloved wife, Charito by his side, while under the care of University of Missouri Hospital in Columbia. Brian was granted an earthly life of 59 years, 2 months, and 28 days. It was on April 14, 1958, in Story City, Iowa, that the Lord blessed the home of Laverne Willis and Doris Ethel (Ballentine) Caruth with the precious gift of a healthy son. Brian grew up in Iowa and attended Roland-Story High School, graduating with the class of 1976. He moved to Missouri and enrolled at State Fair Community College receiving an Associate's Degree in Machine Tooling. He began employment on September 2, 1986, with Maxion Wheels in Sedalia, quickly rising in rank and becoming an NWTL (Natural Work-Team Leader), fully committed to his duties and he faithfully remained with this company for 30 years. He was looking forward to the annual Maxion Wheels Employee Banquet in August, where he would have earned his 31 year Pin and appreciation from this company. Brian Began his new life journey on April 19, 2007, when he was united in marriage to his best friend and the love of his life, Charito Anino, in Cebu City, Philippines. Brian and Charito loved to travel and to go dining at many places, enjoying the varieties and cultures of different foods. They enjoyed socializing by hosting weekend barbecues with their friends. The most time loved by both was hanging out in their home with their three dogs, watching movies and just being with one another. Brian had a passion for classic cars, once bringing home a car in need of drastic repairs. His children remember this because of the bright fire flames that were painted on the side of the car. He recently had purchased a classic and beautiful 1980 Corvette, factory painted the prettiest chocolate brown and a rarity of only 400 produced of this year, make, and model. He was reluctant to purchase, but Charito had convinced him with the sentiment, "You Only Live Once" which prompted him to settle his decision with the purchase of this beauty. These simple words give her the peace presently needed. Brian traveled to meet her family in the Philippines and on the first introduction there were many friends to also meet. He received the warmest welcome from a culture of some of the friendliest, yet curious, but also a respectful group of people. He and Charito revisited during Christmas, arriving at a smiling group anticipating the celebration with good food, singing, and dancing. He loved them and they loved him, and his presence in their home will be greatly missed. Brian was loyal and kind, and he had a deep love for the simple, yet important things in life. He leaves his loving presence behind to his mother, Doris of Stratford, Iowa; his loving wife, Charito Caruth of the home; a son, Kevin Lee Caruth of Pettis County; a daughter, Beth Ann King, and her husband Perry Allen of Basehor, Kansas; a brother, Mike Caruth, and his wife Shari of Nevada, Iowa; a sister, Lurene Oakland, and her husband Arlen of Ankeny, Iowa; two grandchildren, Kaitlyn Marie King and Aidan Lee Caruth; two nephews, Jason and Nick Caruth; three nieces, Mindy DeWitt, Jackie Oakland, and Angie Andrew; and his three most loyal fur babies, Aoki, Coco and Leng.
