Brian Doyle Brockman, 55, of La Monte, MO, passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 19, 2024, at the Kansas City Hospice House in Kansas City, MO. Born on November 23, 1968, in Columbia, MO, he was the beloved son of the late Larry Earl Brockman Sr. and Daisy E. (Baker) Brockman.
On November 25, 1988, Brian married his cherished wife, Deanna Norton, who remains in their home. Together, they built a life filled with love and laughter.
A proud graduate of La Monte High School, Class of 1988, Brian began his career shortly thereafter at Economy Lumber in Warrensburg. He spent the last 34 years at Harmon Industries, now known as Knorr Bremse, where he served as the Shipping Warehouse Supervisor. Brian was known for his dedication and hard work, but his true passion lay in the great outdoors. An avid outdoorsman, he found joy in hunting, fishing, and simply reveling in nature's beauty. However, nothing brought him more happiness than his role as a grandfather; he was a devoted PaPa to his six beloved grandchildren.
Brian is survived by his wife, Deanna; their two children, Brian D. Brockman Jr. (Amanda) and Stephanie Brockman, both of La Monte, MO; and his six adoring grandchildren: Chloe, Waylon, Peyton, Abel, Zerelda, and Autume. He is also survived by his two brothers, Larry Brockman Jr. of Missouri and Troy Brockman (Amy) of Green Ridge, MO; five sisters, Dana Wetherell (Bob) of Georgia, Judi Crawford (Jacob) of La Monte, MO, Amanda Albertson (Rick) of Ironton, MO, Amber Davis (Jason) of Ironton, MO, and Jessica Weber of Sedalia; along with numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, and uncles.
In addition to his parents, Brian was preceded in death by his grandmother, Shirley Kohn; foster parents, Gale and Karen Culler; two brothers, Curtis Brockman, Troy Culler; a nephew, Terrence Culler; and his grandson, Brian Brockman III.
The family will have a celebration of life gathering for family and friends from 1:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 9, 2024, at the American Legion Post #642, 2016 W. Main St., Sedalia.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Show-Me-Christian Youth Home, 24302 Mahin Rd, La Monte, MO 65337, or in care of Rea Funeral Chapel.
Brian's warmth, humor, and love will be deeply missed but forever cherished by all who knew him.
