Obituary For Bonnie Dick

Bonnie Jean Dick, 74, of Sedalia passed away October 14, 2015 at University Hospital in Columbia, Missouri. She was born on September 11, 1941 at Sedalia, Missouri the daughter of Jacob J. Wissman and Maude Florence Davis, who preceded in death.

On November 28, 1964 in Sedalia she was united in marriage to Leo G. Dick, who survives of the home.

Bonnie was in the last class to graduate from Anderson School, the last one room school house in the Sedalia area. In 1959 she graduated from Smith Cotton High School and later attended Sedalia Business School. One of the highlights of her summer was making corn dogs with her sister-in-law, Shirley Dick, at the Missouri State Fair and other fall festivals. She enjoyed working at Jim's Garden Center and delivering flowers for State Fair Floral.

Besides her husband Leo, she is survived by four children, John F. Dick of Sedalia, Rochelle L. Backer and her husband Jeff of Arlington, TN, Justin J. Dick of Sedalia and Pamela J. Pilant and her husband Travis of Sedalia; four grandchildren, Madison, Logan, Olivia, Gigi; six step grandchildren; three brothers, Cleo Wissman and his wife Mae, Jake Wissman and Don Wissman all of Sedalia; two brothers-in-law Ernest Hedges of Topeka, KS and Leo Richards of Sedalia; a sister-in-law Dorothy Jennings of Sedalia.

Besides her parents she was preceded in death by two brothers, Chester Wissman and Eldon Wissman; three sisters, JoAnn Hedges, Jane Montgomery and Ann Richards.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday October 19, 2015 at Rea Funeral Chapel, Sedalia with Father Mark Miller C.PP.S officiating.

Rosary service will be from 7:00 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. Visitation to follow until 9:00 p.m. on Sunday October 18, 2015 at the funeral home.

Burial will be at Memorial Park Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Bart Wissman, Vincent Fox, Greg Dick, Bill Curry, Daryl Sivard, and Dave Backer.

Honorary bearers will be Carl and Betty Prall, Martha Briscoe, Frank and Shirley Dick, Dr. Peter and Emilie Poss, David Dick, Henry and Mary Dick, Randy Mortenson, Jim and Sue Foster, Faye Sivard.

Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donor's choice in care of the funeral home.
