Obituary for Bob A. Schlomer

Robert A. "Bob" Schlomer, 61, of Houstonia, MO passed away Saturday, February 13, 2021 at Bothwell Regional Health Center. He was born on September 2, 1959 in Sedalia, the son of William D. Schlomer and Margaret (Gamache) Schlomer, who reside in Marshall, MO.

On September 29, 2001 in Sedalia, MO he was united in marriage to Kimberly M. Kemmerer, who resides in the home.

Bob was a 1977 graduate of Northwest High School. He worked as a Maintenance Supervisor for Mid-State Seed in Marshall for 20 plus years. He enjoyed going to swap meets, restoring old vehicles, watching his daughters sporting events, and especially loved spending time with his family.

In addition to his wife and parents he is survived by two daughters, Maria Bradford (Domanick) of Sedalia, Lorelei Cunningham (Trevor) of Kansas City, MO; a step son, Jake Heishman (Ashley) of Sedalia; a granddaughter, Zoey Heishman and a grandson on the way; a brother, David Schlomer of Houstonia; a sister, Becky Barnes (Jeff) of Longwood, MO; a niece and three nephews; and many friends.

He was preceded in death by an infant son, Neal Schlomer.

Funeral service will be held at 2:30 p.m. Monday, February 22, 2021 at Rea Funeral Chapel with Pastor Mark Gooden officiating.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until service time at the funeral home. The family requires social distancing and face coverings at all services.

Burial will be at Longwood Cemetery, Longwood, MO.

Pallbearers will be Tim Barnes, Dan Barnes, Sam Barnes, Domanick Bradford, Trevor Cunningham, and Jake Heishman.

Honorary bearers will be Dan Hand, Paul James, Chris Brown, Wayne Schuber, and David Hoyes.

Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donor's choice in care of the funeral home.
