Obituary For Bill Jobe

Billy Gene Jobe, 81, of Sedalia, passed away Saturday, May 3, 2014, at Bothwell Regional Health Center, Sedalia. He was born on June 15, 1932 in Morgan County, MO, a son of Aurthur P. and Dolly (Phelan) Jobe. In 1956 he was united in marriage to Millie Hagerman, who survives of the home.

He was a member of Flat Creek Baptist Church where he served in several different capacities. He started working in the pest control industry in 1960. In 1969 he started Sedalia Exterminators currently known as Son Equity. He retired in 1994 after 34 years in the business. Billy enjoyed fishing and playing cards.

Besides his wife, he is survived by four children, Janita Jobe, of Reno, NV, Ron Jobe and his wife Carol, of Sedalia, Shari Anderson and her husband Gene, of Smithton and Cindy Jobe of Springfield, MO; five grandchildren, Corrie Gifford (Mark), Sarah Sumner (Luke), Chance Anderson (Maggie), Kristen Herren (Matthew) and Caleb Jobe (Lauren); eight, great grandchildren, Eli, Noah, Abigail, Addison, Juilia, Eden, Jobe, and Kara Grace; three sisters, Marjorie Fisher, of Stover, MO, Irma Campbell and husband Leonard, of Versailles, MO and Bonnie Cooper and husband, Roger, of Stover, MO.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, LaVern Hays and Doreen Swails; four brothers, Stanley, Garland, Maurice and Wayne Jobe.

Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Tuesday, May 6, 2014 at Rea Funeral Chapel with Pastor Bill Boatman officiating. Assisting will be Pastors Ed Broyles and Roger Pickard.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Monday, May 5, 2014 at the funeral chapel.

Burial will be in Flat Creek Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be, Matthew Herren, Mark Gifford, Luke Sumner, Gene Anderson, Chance Anderson and Caleb Jobe. Honorary bearers will be Roger Cooper, Honce DeHaven, Forest Allen, Jim Barnes Walt Long, Duane Schroder and Chris Cooper.

Memorial contributions are suggested to the Global Compassions Ministry to Haiti, in care of the funeral chapel.
