Beverly A. Embry, 90, of Sedalia, MO, passed away on Saturday, April 27, 2024, at EW Thompson Health and Rehabilitation Center in Sedalia. She was born on October 27, 1933, in Sedalia, the daughter of Edgar Wolf and Lillian (Manning) Wolf, who preceded her in death.
On October 15, 1951, in Tipton, MO, she was united in marriage to Aetna Eugene Embry, who preceded her in death on March 21, 2013.
Beverly worked at SS Kresgee Corp, Jupiter, and K-Mart, as a clerk and later as an office worker for 45 years. She loved volunteering for the American Heart Association. She enjoyed cooking family dinners, playing badminton with her family, doing word search puzzles, and playing bingo as well as making lots of peanut butter and jelly sandwiches for her only granddaughter, Mariah.
Survivors include a daughter, Sheryl Keele (Wes) of Sedalia; a son, Richard Embry (Melissa) of Rochport, MO; one granddaughter, Mariah Durham (Ray) of La Monte; three great-grandchildren, Lillian, Kendra, and Ethan; many nieces and nephews and many many friends.
In addition to her husband and parents, Beverly was preceded in death by eight sisters and three brothers.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, May 2, 2024, at Rea Funeral Chapel, 3510 W. 16th St., with Wesley Keele officiating.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the chapel.
The burial will be at Memorial Park Cemetery, Sedalia, MO.
Pallbearers will be Ray Durham, Ethan Ray Durham, William Howell, and Wesley Keele.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association in the care of Rea Funeral Chapel.
