Obituary For Betty Lou Privett

Betty Lou Privett, 75, of Sedalia, MO passed away Wednesday, March 31, 2021, at her home. She was born on November 4, 1945, in Sedalia, the daughter of Lawrence Bottcher and Lettie (Young) Bottcher, who preceded her in death.

On June 28, 1968, in Syracuse, MO she was united in marriage to Howard Lee Privett, who preceded her in death on August 29, 2017.

Betty was a 1963 graduate of Smith-Cotton High School. She worked as a seamstress for Lamy's Manufacturing for over 30 years and retired from Neet Products after 10 years. Betty was an avid collector of angel figurines and her favorite pastime was shopping with her sister-in-law, Brenda. She especially loved family gatherings and spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Betty is survived by two sons, Gene Wallace (Debbie) of Marshall, MO and Jeff Wallace (Jeri Breads) of La Monte, MO; a daughter, Marsha Siercks (Kim Mellen) of Lincoln, MO; four grandchildren, Brian (Danielle), Brittany (Brad), Tiffany (Zach), and Amber (Chase); two great grandsons, Maverick and Colt; and two brothers, Jerry Bottcher (Brenda) of Sedalia and Larry Bottcher of Buckner, MO.

In addition to her husband and parents she was preceded in death by a brother, Bob Bottcher; a granddaughter, Keisha; a son-in-law, Ted Siercks; and her loyal hound dog "Rusty".

A Memorial service will be held at 7:00 p.m. Monday, April 5, 2021 at Rea Funeral Chapel with Pastor David Owens officiating.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the chapel.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Sedalia Animal Shelter in care of the funeral chapel.
