Betty Lou Hanger

Betty Lou Hanger, 71, of Sedalia passed away Monday, January 14, 2019 at Capital Regional Medical Center in Jefferson City, MO. She was born on April 4, 1947 in Glascow, MO the daughter of William Homer and Mary Elizabeth (Taylor) Ballew, who preceded her in death.

Betty worked as a certified nurse aid for many years at Fair View Nursing Home and Bothwell Regional Heath Center. She also worked as a Medical Tech at Stoney Ridge Village in Sedalia.

Survivors include a daughter Tammy Meddock and husband Gary of New Vienna, OH; a son, Gary Hanger of Sedalia, MO; five grandchildren; four great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and her furry four legged companion, Misty Dawn.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a daughter, Sherri Lynn Hanger; eight brothers, Robert, William, James, Clarence, Thomas, Quinton, Carl, and Donald Ballew; and three sisters, Anna Mae Elliot, Martha Bryson, and Athlene Young.

A private family burial of the ashes will be held at a later date in Slater, MO.

Arrangements are under the direction of Rea Funeral Chapel, Sedalia.
