Obituary For Betty Logan

Betty Marie (Taber) (Ward) Logan, 64, of Sedalia, passed away Saturday, March 22, 2014 at her home. She was born on October 7, 1949 in Sedalia, MO a daughter of Henry and Audrey (Jimmerson) Taber.

On December 6, 1968 in Smithton, MO, she was united in marriage to Raymond Ward, who preceded her in death on November 25, 1994. In Sedalia on June 20, 1992 she was married to Jack Logan, who survives of the home.

Betty worked for Rival Mfg. from 1988 until they closed in 2002. She later worked for McDonald’s and was office assistant for Turley’s Dependable Trucking, Georgetown, MO. She enjoyed going on poker run fundraisers and collecting Elvis memorabilia. She loved to go horseback riding, and in her later years enjoyed watching the horses in the fields. Betty was a member of (MAMA) Mothers Against Meth Association.

Besides her husband, she is survived by two daughters, Sandra Schulze and her husband Mike, and Margey Amberg, all of Sedalia; three sisters, Deloris Hall of Cole Camp, MO, Audrey Spangler and her husband David of Farmington, MO, and Sarah Drake of Florence, MO; two brothers, Melvin Taber and his wife Acinda and Hank Taber all of Sweet Springs, MO; three grandchildren, Leland, Derrick and Ashlyn; and two great grandsons, Zakary and Noah.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by one sister, Shirley Mae Taber and two brothers, Kenneth and Theodor Taber.

Funeral service will be held at 11:00 am, Thursday, March 27, 2014 at Rea Funeral Chapel, Sedalia with Pastor J.D. Reed officiating.

Family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 pm, Wednesday, March 26, 2014 at Rea Funeral Chapel.

Burial will be at Crown Hill Cemetery, Sedalia.

Pallbearers will be Tony Taber, Rickey L. Taber, Eddie Hall, Thomas Hall, Ruben G. Logan, and Billy Turner.

Honorary bearers will be grandchildren.

Memorial contributions are suggested to The Alzheimer’s Association in care of the funeral chapel.
