Betty Landon

Betty Jean Landon, 89, of Sedalia, passed away Thursday, January 23, 2014 at Sylvia Thompson Residence Center, Sedalia. She was born on April 19, 1924 in Sedalia, a daughter of Manfred and Wilmeth Johnson, who preceded her in death.

On April 30, 1944 in Sedalia she was united in marriage to Marion “Gene” Landon, who preceded her in death on April 8, 1992.

Betty was a long-life resident of Sedalia. She enjoyed traveling and was an avid collector. She was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church, Sedalia.

She is survived by one daughter, Leslie (Rick) Zumwalt of Sedalia; three grandchildren, Angie Dick, Cherie Pemberton, Dirk Zumwalt; and seven great grandchildren, Madison, Logan, Tyler, Morgan, Skyler, Michael, and Gabby.

Graveside service will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, January 25, 2014 at Memorial Park Cemetery, Sedalia with Rev. Ray Haught officiating.

The family will receive friends from 12:30 to 1:30 Saturday, January 25, 2014 at Rea Funeral Chapel, Sedalia.
