Angela Barraza

Angela Barraza, 83, of Sedalia, MO passed away Saturday, July 24, 2021 at her home. She was born on January 3, 1938 in Escuinapa, Sinaloa, Mexico the daughter of Roberto Guzman and Asencion Barraza, who preceded her in death.

Angela loved to praise God, especially with song. She taught bible school to children most of her adult life. She was a very godly woman and was a devoted prayer warrior. Angela was always reading and memorizing the word of God. If you ever needed any encouragement, she was the first to give it to you. She was a great mother and friend.

Angela is survived by one daughter, Maria Del Pilar Contreras, of Sedalia, MO; one brother, Ponciano Sanchez Barraza of Barstow, CA; and one grandchild, Vashti Contreras of Barstow, CA.

Angela was preceded in death by one son, Martin Contreras and his wife Sandra Contreras; five siblings, Oseas, Roberto, Maclovia, Euqueria, Bartola Guzman Barraza and the father of her children, Enrique Contreras Aguilar.

Funeral service will be held at 6:00 pm, Thursday, July 29, 2021 at Rea Funeral Chapel, Sedalia, with Pastor Efrain Baeza, officiating.

Burial will held at a later date in Crown Hill Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to the family, in care of Rea Funeral Chapel.
