Alpha Ford

Alpha Marie Ford, 64 of Sedalia, MO, passed away on Wednesday, October 21, 2015 at St. Luke's Hospital in Kansas City, MO. She was born on October 25, 1950 in Boonville, MO, the daughter of Alonzo Monroe and Ada Lorene (Williams) Harris, Jr., who preceded her in death. On May 16, 1997 in Harrison, Arkansas, she was united in marriage to Steven Ford, who survives of the home. Alpha loved fishing, watching television, and she was an avid Kansas City Royals fan. She was a member of New Hope Baptist Church, Sedalia. Besides her husband, she is survived by three stepchildren, Sarah Harring (Phil) of Eldorado Springs, MO, Thomas Ford (Cathy) of Lee's Summit, MO, and Stella Turley of Bardstown, KY; two brothers, Alonzo and Henry Harris, both of Sedalia; eight grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 29, 2015 at New Hope Baptist Church, Sedalia, with Rev. Duane Duchesne officiating.
