Alicia Ann (Hutchins) McGinnis, 47, of Bates City, MO, passed away Monday, August 22, 2016 along with her daughter, Kacee McGinnis, on West 50 highway near Kingsville, MO, as a result of an auto accident. She was born on December 4, 1968 in Clinton, MO, the daughter of Larry Hutchins and Diana and Jack Harvkey, who survive.
On September 3, 2010 in Eureka Springs, AR, she was united in marriage to Larry Gordon McGinnis, who survives.
Alicia worked as a nail tech for most of her life. Most recently, she worked for Excelligent in Blue Springs. She had a wonderful work family there and loved her new career. She made close friends all along her life journey. Alicia was full of life, and wanted to help everyone she could. She never met a stranger.
Besides her parents and husband, she is survived by four stepchildren, Savannah McGinnis, Alisha McGinnis Pichinevsky (David), Justin McGinnis, and Larry McGinnis II (Miranda); four sisters, Kim Cox (Larry), Lori Mojica (Fernando), Nicole Reynolds (Daniel), and Katherine Harrison (Joseph); her mother in law, Marie McGinnis; a brother in law, Chuck McGinnis; eleven nieces and nephews, Carmen, Lexie, Quincy, Javier, Santiago, Shawn, Kara, Makenzie, Maddox, Brooklyn, and Holden; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins, who all loved her dearly.
She was preceded in death by two sisters, Cynthia Hutchins and Lucinda Harvkey.
A Celebration of life memorial service will be held at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, August 25, 2016 at Rea Funeral Chapel, Sedalia, with Rev. Pastor Mark Turner officiating.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. Thursday prior to the service at the funeral chapel.
Memorial contributions are suggested the family in care of Rea Funeral Chapel.
