Alice Jean Young, 87, of Sedalia passed away April 1, 2017 at Good Samaritan Care Center in Cole Camp, MO. She was born on March 18, 1930 in Sedalia, MO daughter of Edward and Harriett (Long) Cramer, who preceded her in death on April 12, 2013.
On April 22, 1948 in Sedalia she was united in marriage to Clayton Andrew "Rabbit" Young, who preceded her in death.
Alice worked for Town and Country Shoes and later received her Certified Nurse Aid certificate and worked for Dr. Maunders in Sedalia for several years before becoming a homemaker. She loved to play pitch, travel with her husband and especially loved spending time with her great granddaughters, Addison Mae Figge and Ava Denise Figge.
In addition to her great granddaughters, she is also survived by a grandson, Jason Figge of Sedalia.
In addition to her husband, she was also preceded in death by a daughter Terry Figge.
Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 5, 2017 at Rea Funeral Chapel with Rev. Dan Hankins officiating.
Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the chapel.
Burial will be at Highland Sacred Gardens Cemetery, Sedalia.
Pallbearers will be Jason Figge, Robby Paul, John Simmons, Brad Rea, Eddie Saltsgaver, and Dan Hankins.
Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donor's choice in care of Rea Funeral Chapel.
