Alice Corrine Hall, 98, of Sedalia, MO, passed away Wednesday, February 7th, 2018 at Rest Haven Convalescent Home. She was born on October 3, 1919 in Cole Station, IL, the daughter of James Albert Eaton and Mary Lucinda Sacarissie Outland-Eaton, who preceded her in death.
On March 18, 1943, in Clinton, MO, she was united in marriage to William "Bill" Ray Hall, who preceded her in death.
Alice grew up in Clinton, MO. She was a 1943 graduate of Calhoun High School. After graduating high school, she worked at a shoe factory in Windsor, MO, making Russian army shoes. She met and married Bill and spent some time living in California to accommodate his position as he served through World War II. Alice and Bill eventually settled in Windsor after Bill's discharge. Alice worked as the head of the Textbook Library at CMSU and then retired in the early 1980s and began to travel the country with Bill. She loved to travel and was able to visit 32 of the 50 United States, as well as Canada and Mexico. She also enjoyed reading, sewing and crafting, and was a member of the First United Methodist Church. She loved visiting friends and, above all else, spending time with her family.
Alice is survived by two sons, Leonard Hall (Carol) of Sedalia, and Ray Hall (Barbara) of Vandalia, MO; six grandchildren, Kimberly Hall, Kristina Hall, and Courtney Hall, all of Kansas City, MO, and J.W. Hall, John Hall, and Becky Hall, all of Sedalia; and one great granddaughter, Hailee Hall.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, February 12, 2018 at Rea Funeral Chapel, Sedalia, MO, with Rev. Jim Downing officiating.
Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the chapel.
Burial will be at 3:00 p.m. on Monday, February 12, 2018 at Calhoun Cemetery in Calhoun, MO.
Pallbearers will be Cliff McBride, Robert Meyer, Mike Reams, J.W. Hall, John Hall, and Darrin Pennington.
Honorary Bearers will be Robin McKee, Connie Brown, Susan Rouchka, Jeani Gregory, Willa Husband, Steve Mann, Sherryl Gatewood, and Patty Smith.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to First United Methodist Church Care Ministry.
