Alberto "José Romero" Rodriguez Castañeda

Alberto Rodriguez Castañeda, AKA José Romero, 55, of Sedalia, MO passed away Saturday, June 25, 2022 at his home. He was born on March 9, 1967 in Cuernavaca Morelos, Mexico the son of Ricardo Rodriguez Garcia, who preceded him in death and Irma Castañeda Carranza, who resides in Acatlipa Morelos, Mexico.

Beto enjoyed playing soccer in his youth, and even came to the USA with a traveling soccer team to Houston TX. He enjoyed bull riding, spending time with his friends and family, but most of all he loved spending time with his great-nieces and nephews. He enjoyed watching movies and TV shows and his favorite hobby was going to the gym. He was a dedicated employee to his employer which showed as he worked right up to the last day he was able to. Beto had an amazing heart and was always there for everyone, no matter who it was, or what time of day it was, he would always find a way to help.

Along with his mother, Alberto is survived by three sisters, Olga Rodriguez Castañeda, Laura Rodriguez Castañeda, and Lilia Rodriguez Castañeda; two brothers, Manuel Rodriguez Castañeda and Enrique Rodriguez Castañeda; seventeen nieces and nephews; and fourteen great-nieces and nephews.

In addition to his father, Alberto was preceded in death by a sister, Janeth Rodriguez Castañeda; and two brothers at infancy.

A memorial service will be held at 5:30 p.m. Thursday, July 7, 2022, at Rea Funeral Chapel, Sedalia, with pastor Efrain Baeza officiating.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. until service time Thursday, July 7, 2022, at the chapel.

Arrangements are under the direction of Rea Funeral Chapel.
