Adam Ramey

Adam Wade Ramey, 34, of Pilot Grove, MO went to be with the Lord on Friday, May 29, 2015. He was born on March 24, 1981 in Sedalia, the son of Robbie Ramey and Treasa Marie (Roberts) Neth, and stepfather, David Neth.

On July 7, 2000, in Fayetteville, NC, he was united in marriage to Erin (Collins) Purchase who lives in Green Ridge. On July 3, 2008, in Sedalia, he was united in marriage to Mary Jo Dedrick, who survives of the home.

Adam loved spending time with his family an...d playing with his kids. He worked alongside his father, Robbie and nephew, Clayton for Ramey Dirtworks. Adam enjoyed being outdoors; hunting, fishing, or arrowhead hunting. He enjoyed working on cars and tractors and had a passion for Mustangs and Harleys. Adam loved racing and enjoyed helping on the Boyer Racing and Ramey Racing pit crews. He will be remembered for his good ol' boy heart, who made people laugh and always ready to help anyone needing a hand. Adam was a member of Hopewell Baptist Church and was baptized on November 8, 1992. He served his country honorably in the U.S. Army, during Operation Enduring Freedom.

Besides his parents and wife, he is survived by four children, Katelyn Ramey, Kenady Kares, Kirstan Ramey and Khloie Ramey, all of the home; two sisters, Anne Townsend of Sedalia and Ashley Caton (Justin) of Sedalia; step brother, Daniel Neth of Sedalia; maternal grandma, Marcella Roberts of Smithton; maternal step grandparents, David and Bessie Harrison of Sedalia.

Adam was preceded in death by his daughter, Madison Ramey; paternal grandparents, J.L. "Chub" and Winifred "Granny" Ramey; and maternal grandpa, Paul Roberts, Jr.

Funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm, on Tuesday, June 2, 2015 at Rea Funeral Chapel, Sedalia with Marlin Brown officiating.

Family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 pm, on Monday, June 1, 2015 at the chapel.

Burial will be at Hopewell Cemetery, Sedalia.

Pallbearers will be Justin Caton, Clayton Townsend, Chris Ramey, Jerod Johnson, Rusty Fisher and Tim Hughes.

Honorary bearers will be Tyler Ramey, Jack Schibi, Kenny Mize, David Rivera, Ed Broyles, (nephew) Owen Caton, Gunner Ramey, Ryan Kanak, Mike LeGrant, Curtis Boyer, (nieces) Kemper Caton and Savannah Townsend.

In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy are suggested to Adam's Girls Trust Fund, in care of the funeral chapel.
