Obituary For Adaline M Vannoy

Adaline M Vannoy, 82, of Concordia, MO passed away Wednesday, February 20, 2019 at Country Club Care Center of Warrensburg, MO. She was born on April 8, 1936 in Green Ridge, MO the daughter of Charles and Lucille (Buckley) Gamber who preceded her in death.

On August 14, 1954 she was united in marriage to Willard J. Carver, who resides in Buffalo, MO. On February 14, 1970, in Sedalia, she was united in marriage to Carl Eugene Vannoy, who preceded her in death April 5, 2015.

She attended Broadway Elementary School and graduated from Smith Cotton High School in 1954. She worked for Bothwell Hospital for three years and Dr. Gordon Stauffacher for four years as an office nurse. In 1987 she retired as vice president of Union Savings Bank after over twenty years of faithful service.

She is survived by one son, Daniel Carver (Heidi) of Lake City, FL; one daughter, Cynthia Limback (Mark) of Warrensburg; one brother, David Gamber (Joyce) of Gunison, CO; two sisters, Laura Moon (David) of Hughesville, MO and Sue Roxstrom (Jim) of Maple Valley, WA; one step-son, Michael Vannoy (Jeannine) of Columbia; seven grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; four great great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one sister, Bettie Jones; three brothers, Jimmie Gamber, Kenneth Gamber, and Charles W. Gamber; one step-son, Donald Vannoy; and one granddaughter, Amanda Vannoy.

A celebration of life gathering of friends and family, will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, March 2, 2019 at Rea Funeral Chapel, Sedalia, MO with Rev. Rodney Brown officiating. The family will receive friends beginning at 1:00 pm until service time at Rea Funeral Chapel. Burial of the ashes will be at Green Ridge Cemetery to follow. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to Crossroads Hospice, Show Me Christian Youth Home or St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital in care of Rea Funeral Chapel.
