Obit PicSusan Deavon Pohl, 50, of Smithton, Missouri, passed away Thursday, July 13th, 2017 at Bothwell Regional Health Center, Sedalia. She was born on July 8, 1967, in Dodge City, KS, the daughter of Donald Dwaine Carmichael, who preceded her in death and Norma Kay (Moody) Forsythe, who survives of Sedalia.

On September 10, 2004 in Sedalia, Missouri, she was united in marriage to Wendell Keith Pohl, who survives of the home.

Susan enjoyed playing computer games and planting flowers. She had a passion for rescuing cats and dogs. She had several over the years that she rescued and loved them like her own babies. She loved spending time at home with her husband, animals, brothers, and sisters.

Besides her husband and mother she is survived by her stepfather, Blair Forsythe; a daughter, Angela Snovelle; two brothers, Troy Carmichael of Sedalia and Mark Shirey of Sedalia; two sisters, Lori Ann Quick of Sedalia and Cindy Nance of Topeka, KS; one grandson; and her beloved pets.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 19, 2017 at Smithton Baptist Church with Pastor John Barrett officiating.

Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice in care of Rea Funeral Chapel, Sedalia.
