Obituary For Tammy Sue Young

Tammy Sue Young, 58, of Sedalia passed away Sunday, June 24, 2018 at Overland Park Regional Medical Center in Overland Park, KS. She was born on June 9, 1960 in Kansas City, KS the daughter of William A. Lockard, who preceded her in death and Carolyn J. (Davis) Lockard Chapman, who resides in Edgerton, MO.

On March 3, 2001 in Randolph, MO, she was united in marriage to Mark A. Young, who resides of the home.

Tammy worked for DST in Kansas City, MO in accounts receivable and was a homemaker. She enjoyed going to asphalt and dirt track races, traveling, and donating her time to D.A.R.E. She loved her dogs, Buddy-bobo and Bella. Tammy especially loved spending time with her family.

In addition to her husband Mark and mother, she is survived by a son, Brett Lockard (Haley Shelton) of Kansas City, MO; two daughters, Mindy Gonzalez (Rocky) of Independence, MO and Stacy Kabriel (Kyle) of Wamego, KS; sister, Tracy Lockard Dobbelaere (Bob) of Trimble, MO; extended family, Kent Chapman, Denise Chapman, Kurt Chapman (Lori); four grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by a brother, Dale E. Lockard; and her step father, Rock Chapman.

A celebration of life service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, June 29, 2018 at Rea Funeral Chapel with Rev. Dan Hankins officiating.

Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the chapel.

Burial will be at Crown Hill Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Sedalia D.A.R.E program in care of Rea Funeral Chapel.
