Shirley Jean Jacobson

Shirley Jean Jacobson, 83, of Sedalia passed away July 6, 2019 at Sylvia G. Thompson Residence Center in Sedalia, MO. She was born on December 6, 1935 in Richmond, MO the daughter of Russell and Janie (Dolphin) Bunch, who preceded her in death.

On June 15, 1973 in Miami, OK. she was united in marriage to Donald G. Jacobson, who preceded her in death in 1975.

Shirley worked for Missions Plastics in Martin City, MO until she retired in 1998. She was an avid reader, enjoyed going fishing, crocheting, collecting humming birds, and spending time with her family, especially with her grandchildren.

Survivors include two daughters, Darla Hogg of Sedalia and Leslyn Smuder (Mike) of Peculiar, MO; two sons, Russell Pemberton (Ann) and Michael Pemberton (Diana) all of Belton, MO; nine grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; six brothers, Robert Bunch of Arkansas, Bill Bunch (Vera) of Kentucky, Russell Bunch (Shirley) Appleton City, MO, Ted Bunch (Kathy) of Butler, MO, Larry Bunch (Glenda) of Liberty, MO, Jim Bunch of Utah.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Raymond Bunch and Jack Bunch.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, July 11, 2019 at Rea Funeral Chapel with Rev. Dan Hankins officiating.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the chapel.

Burial will be at Memorial Park Cemetery, Sedalia, MO.

Pallbearers will be Mike Smuder, Brandon Pemberton, Eric Kadtke, Garry Bartley, Izaak Bartley, Patrick Grinstead.

Honorary bearers will be Candace Kadtke, Briony Hogg, and Jesse Corum.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Disabled Veterans Association in care of Rea Funeral Chapel.
